Intensive Training in the Classroom of Step to Bulgaria

In August Step to Bulgaria orgianized an intensive two-week Bulgarian language and culture course for Lynnette and Mark Leonard, PhD Professors at the American University in Bulgaria. Here is what they shared about the process of learning and the results gained through the course:

Lynnette G. Leonard:

My husband and I completed the first module in an intensive, two-week schedule. I thoroughly enjoyed our lessons with Nadia. She adapted to our learning style and level of learning at each stage making it truly fit our needs. Her methods of teaching are diverse, interactive, and engaging. Foreign languages are not my strongest area and Nadia was patient and helpful throughout. She worked with me through the lessons that were difficult for me and celebrated with me when I succeeded. Step to Bulgaria is one of the best language learning experiences I have had. I highly recommend Nadia and Step to Bulgaria for anyone wanting to learn Bulgarian language and culture.

J. Mark Leonard:

I really liked the method of learning in Step to Bulgaria. It is structured for adult learners to quickly pick up some useful Bulgarian and then build on that learning. I loved that after the first lesson, words and phrases I heard spoken around me were already making more sense. I finally knew how to say “keep the change” at the restaurant so I didn’t have to mime it! Nadia’s energy level kept me engaged and motivated to complete each lesson. Step to Bulgaria provided a solid foundation for my continued learning of Bulgarian language and culture.
